A Little to the Left Review friv game – A Perfectionist's Paradise

A Little to the Left is a small puzzle game in which you need to carefully arrange objects on the playing field. We share our impressions of this cozy game in the review.

In A Little to the Left, there is no plot and no global goal. The whole game is a series of levels, conditionally divided into chapters (household chores, cleaning the kitchen, fussing in the garden, and so on), on each of which you need to arrange items in a certain sequence. In which one - the player must guess on their own.

And to understand what the game wants at each particular level is not difficult at all: usually the items need to be sorted by size, color or purpose. In some tests, you just need to align the books in a pile or, for example, arrange the tools in a suitcase so that each of them has a place.

Some tasks have multiple solutions. For example, pencils can simply be lined up in a row in size, or you can use your imagination, look at them and pay attention that they are represented by all the colors of the rainbow. Puzzles that have one solution are marked with one star in the list of levels, and if there are more options, then there are more stars - two or three.

This is interesting: A Little to the Left is developed by the Canadian Friv2Online Studio, founded by a couple from Canada. When creating the friv game, the authors were inspired by literally everything that surrounded them, in particular, the home interior. And the prototype of the cat, which periodically breaks into the gameplay and arranges riots, obviously, was the pet of igrodelov.

Spending time in the title is nice. Calm music, unhurried gameplay, convenient control (mouse or gamepad ). If the test causes difficulties, you can use the hint, and even if you can’t complete the level with it, you can skip it altogether - the game will not punish you for this in any way, it will even give you an achievement.

By the way, about achievements. A perfectionist who wants to knock out 100% of achievements from A Little to the Left will be discouraged. All because of the daily challenges, which are updated every day, and to get one of the achievements you need to complete 100 of these challenges - that is, log into the friv game daily for more than three months.

Not the most interesting activity, given that the daily puzzles duplicate the levels from the main campaign. You can cheat the game by moving the date on the computer forward, but in my opinion, it would be worth doing without periodic tasks altogether.

There are a little over eighty levels available in the friv game. Another three dozen adds the Cupboards & Drawers add-on, which focuses on sorting things in various drawers and lockers. The puzzles in the DLC are more difficult and complex, so it's best to move on to them after completing the base game, although you can launch them at any time from the main menu if you wish.

A Little to the Left is a wonderful and very cute friv game to relax in the spirit of Unpacking. It takes three to four hours to complete, but you will probably want to stay longer - to find all the alternative ways to complete the levels, collect all the achievements, or just mindlessly click the mouse, laying out items the way you want.
